• Each NFT avatar, best known as ‘Snoo’, is priced at $25, with a cap of 500 avatars per NFL team.

• The initiative followed the popularity of Reddit, previously releasing a free NFL-themed avatar collection during last February's championship game.

• These new collectibles offer fans a new way to represent their favorite teams in online discussions and comment sections.

• New England Patriots' NFT avatars are currently the most popular, alongside the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts.

Animoca Brands Raises $20M to Fuel Mocaverse Web3 Expansion

Animoca Brands secures $20 million in funding for the Mocaverse project, focusing on Web3-native tools for gaming and entertainment.

• CMCC Global leads the funding round, with participation from Kingsway Capital, Liberty City Ventures, GameFi Ventures, Aleksander Larsen, and Gabby Dizon.

• The Mocaverse project aims to become the identity and point system for Web3 gaming, culture, and entertainment.

• Investors in the round receive a free-attaching utility token warrant on a 1:1 dollar basis as part of their investment.

• Animoca Brands plans to use the capital to develop Moca ID, a non-transferrable NFT collection enabling users to create on-chain identities and engage in the Mocaverse ecosystem while earning loyalty points.

Buterin's Twitter Account Phished—$691K Digital Assets Drained

Following a phishing scam, Twitter followers of Vitalik Buterin lost $691,000 in cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

• The scam reportedly stemmed from a hack on Vitalik Buterin's ‘X (Twitter account.

• Chinese journalist Colin Wu believes the attack may be associated with PinkDrainer, a malicious crypto-wallet draining tool.

• Among the assets stolen from users were two highly-coveted CryptoPunks NFTs, specifically tokens #3986 and #1751.

• Following the breach, an unauthorized message from Buterin's social profile was swiftly removed, and efforts are ongoing to restore his full access.

• Despite the widespread impact of the breach, Vitalik Buterin has yet to publicly address the situation or the losses experienced by his followers.
