Coinbaseās āBaseā Hits New Record of Nearly 2M Daily Transactions
Breaking its previous record, Coinbaseās Layer2 network Base achieved nearly 2 million daily transactions!
Base outperformed competitors like Optimism and Arbitrum, which had a combined 878,000 transactions on the same day.
However, Base still lags behind other Layer2 networks like Polygon, with 2.1 million transactions, and Binance Smart Chain (BSC), with 3.1 million transactions on the same day.
Unlike a previous high in daily active users, Base had approximately 86,000 daily active users on the day it hit the transaction record.
Since its launch, Base has gained popularity in the crypto community, witnessing significant NFT minting and asset bridging activity, with over $242 million worth of assets bridged in its first two weeks.
