Pussy Riot's NFT Art Spurs Legal Dispute with Russia

Russian authorities are using an NFT as evidence for criminal charges against Pussy Riot of hurting religious feelings.

Here's What We Know:

• Nadya Tolokonnikova, a key member of Pussy Riot, has been added to Russia's list of wanted individuals, according to the Associated Press.

• The controversial NFT, titled "Virgin Mary, Please Become a Feminist", depicts the Christian icon with female genitalia, and has been linked to a new law known as the "Pussy Riot Law".

• Tolokonnikova's recent art exhibit, "Putin's Ashes," seems to have triggered the latest legal action, as it involved burning an effigy of the Russian president.

• Despite the threats, Tolokonnikova remains defiant, stating that art is her weapon and she will continue fighting using decentralized technologies to amplify her impact.
