  Elon Musk recently revisited his 2021 NFT venture by questioning the fate of his musical NFT on his social media platform “X”.

• In March 2021, Musk considered auctioning a tweet as an NFT featuring a song about NFTs, receiving a bid over a whopping $1 million.

• However, at the last minute, Musk chose not to sell the NFT because "it didn't feel right to sell this particular digital artwork."

• The NFT in question included a song and video clip highlighting NFT culture with a "Vanity Trophy" adorned with the terms "NFT" and "HODL”.

• This news underscores the fluctuating nature of the NFT market and the personal values of creators in the digital art space.

• In the upcoming year, he might reconsider and decide to sell the asset after all…

  

  Sotheby's Prepares for the New Year with Starry Night Auction

  Starting next year on a high note, Sotheby's Starry Night auction will display over 300 works from the Three Arrows Capital-affiliated Starry Night collection from January 23 to 30 — an extension of the GRAILS collection's success.

  

  • Starry Night includes works from renowned digital artists like XCOPY, Beeple, and Alpha Centauri Kid, focusing on unique pieces and pioneering generative AI art.

  • Vincent Van Dough, a pseudonymous collector, curated the 2021 collection for Three Arrows Capital, showcasing a diverse array of digital art.

  • The collection amassed over $20 million in 2023 and featured Dmitri Cherniak’s Ringers #879 (The Goose), which sold for an impressive $6.2 million, surpassing its high estimate.

  • Key pieces in the forthcoming auction include Otherworld's "The Garden", Alpha Centauri Kid's "til death do us part", Kjetil Golid's "Iterations II", and Helena Sarin's "K-Meanearest Neighbors".

OKX Wallet and OneKey Gear Up NFT Rewards for 2024

Also starting 2024 right, OKX Wallet and OneKey have partnered up to offer users exclusive, limited-edition NFTs.

• This collaboration between OKX, a leading Web3 technology company, and OneKey, a top crypto hardware wallet provider, aims to reward and engage users of both platforms.

• Users can claim one of these 300 available limited-edition NFTs by completing social media tasks, such as following OKX Web3 and OneKey on X (formerly Twitter), before January 15, 2024.

• An additional 200 NFTs will be airdropped randomly to users who have purchased the co-branded OKX-OneKey wallet.
