Game7 to Boost Web3 With $100M Grant Program
Web Gaming DAO, Game7, is launching a grant program of $100 million to assist Web3 developers with the necessary tools for making gaming on-chain more accessible.
Here's what we know:
Game7 will distribute its $100 million grant throughout the next five years.
All contributions will include Web3 initiatives, such as technology, events, diversity, research, and education.
BitDAO and Forte kindly invested half of the funds in Game7's treasury.
With that kind of money, the possibilities are endless. π
BMW Explores NFTs and the Metaverse
BMW is driving into the Web3 hype by applying to trademark its logo for NFTs and the metaverse.
Here's what we know:
The application covers downloadable multimedia files (artwork, text, audio and video) featuring the brand.
The trademark mentions "downloadable computer programs" that showcase the vehicles alongside its parts and accessories.
BMW hopes for the computer programs to eventually be buyable as NFTs and usable on the metaverse.
As big fans of BMW and all things Web3, we look forward to the day these sleek vehicles become playable digital assets on the metaverse.

Coinbase Disables iOS NFT Transfers
Apple is continuing to cause issues in the NFT space. This time, forcing Coinbase to disable NFT transfers on its iOS wallet application. And for selfish reasons only.
Apple claims the gas fees necessary for sending NFTs must be paid through their In-App purchase system so that the tech powerhouse can collect 30% of the cost.
Nevertheless, Apple's In-App purchase is yet to support crypto. Thus, Coinbase can't comply even if they want to (which we don't blame them if they don't).
For more info about Apple's iOS NFT relationship, here's the good, the bad, and the ugly regarding Apple NFTs.
Basically, when it boils down to NFTs, Apple can get screwed.
Read the entire thread here! π It's pretty darn juicy.
This is akin to Apple trying to take a cut of fees for every email that gets sent over open Internet protocols.

Timex Launches Flash New BAYC Watches
Apparently, holding a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT isn't already enough of a status symbol. That's according to Timex, anyways. The famous watchmaker who's releasing a new line of limited-edition BAYC watches.
Don't let your ape's wrist go naked. Reserve yours now. Anyone can mint the pass and secure their right to one of the 500 creations, but only @BoredApeYC and MAYC holders will be able to create their set.

Here's what we know:
All holders of BAYC and MAYC are entitled to a Timex watch.
Only 500 of these watches - created by Timex, the BAYC community and Web3 firm Daz3d - are available.
If you are lucky enough to be a BAYC or MAYC holder, you must sign up for one FAST!
This marks a fantastic time for Timex to bridge the gap between physical and digital goods. But only time will tell. π
We will surely be eyeing up the wrists of our crypto community.
