Doodles Shifts ‘Stoodio’ From Flow to Base

Doodles is moving its Stoodio platform from the Flow blockchain to Coinbase's Base to capitalize on the networks lower transaction costs and faster processing speeds.

• The decision to switch to Base was influenced by the desire to align with the needs and preferences of Doodles’ existing community.

• By transitioning to Base, the Stoodio platform—featuring a variety of digital wearables and collectibles—is expected to benefit significantly from the extensive reach and capabilities of the Coinbase ecosystem.

• To celebrate the migration, Doodles will introduce a free Base NFT mint through Zora, unlocking exclusive content within the Stoodio upon completion of the transition.

• This move is part of a larger strategy to foster direct-to-consumer interactions and leverage Web3 technologies to minimize reliance on intermediaries.

Pixelverse Raises $5.5M to Propel Web3 Gaming

Pixelverse recently secured $5.5M in funding led by venture capital firms like Delphi Ventures, Merit Circle, and Mechanism Capital.

• Pixelverse introduced the ‘Tap-to-Earn’ model, rewarding users for engagement with Web3 games and mini-apps.

• Within its first month, Pixelverse attracted over 15M registered users and achieved 5M daily active users across its cyberpunk-themed browser and Telegram games.

$1 NFT Access to Wu-Tang Clan's ‘Secret Album’

Wu-Tang Clan’s once-secret album ‘Once Upon a Time in Shaolin’ is now available as an NFT for as little as $1, thanks to PleasrDAO.

• The album—purchased by PleasrDAO for $4 million in 2021 from Martin Shkreli—carries an 88-year embargo for full public release.

• Distributed via Base, the NFT opens broad accessibility to an exclusive album without requiring crypto for purchases.

• Proceeds from the NFT sales will benefit Wu-Tang Clan members and producers RZA and Cilvaringz.

• Though, legal disputes continue as PleasrDAO pursues action against Shkreli for allegedly breaching the album's embargo terms over publicly playing copies.
