Rolls-Royce Steers Into NFTs

Rolls-Royce is exploring NFTs with its exclusive collection for its latest Phantom series, 'The Six Elements'.

Here's what we know:

  • Rollys-Royce recently unveiled its NFT collection at an exclusive event in Dubai.

  • The digital cards feature hand-painted artwork by world-renowned British artist Sacha Jafri.

  • Each car has its own digital token, which can be sold independently for charity fundraising.

  • The six cars in the series represent one of five universal elements - wind, air, fire, earth and water.

  • Let's hope more car brands explore the world of Web3 in 2023.

Warning: North Korean Phishing Scam Targets NFTs

North Korean hackers, believed to be associated with the Lazarus Group, have launched a large-scale phishing attack targeting holders of NFTs.

Here's what we know:

  • According to SlowMist, the hackers used around 500 phishing domains to lure unsuspecting victims before pinching their NFTs.

  • Most websites they used to fool victims were duplicates of famous NFT-related platforms, like OpenSea and X2YX.

  • The hackers use the websites under the pretext of minting legitimate NFTs. Once targets connect their wallets to the website, hackers get access to their wallets and steal their digital collectibles.

  • This incident reminds us that NFT security must be taken seriously at all times.

  • When connecting to websites, please pay extra attention to detail by double-checking their URLs and not clicking on suspicious links.

  • We hope everyone has had a safe and merry Christmas! ✌️

Original E.T. and NFT Sells for $2.6M

When Hollywood meets Web3, the incredible happens. Check out the selling of this E.T. model alongside a one-off NFT selling for nearly $2.6 million, for example.

Here's what we know:

  • This E.T. memorabilia sold for $2.6M at a Hollywood-themed auction, Julien's Auctions.

  • The artwork showcased a model of E.T. alongside a corresponding NFT.

  • Despite this auction featuring Harry Potter's Nimbus 2000 broom, the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Captain America's shield, E.T. - and his digital asset - stole the show.

  • Is it because of the NFT? We like to think so.

  • Such digital assets give holders exclusive ownership rights alongside indestructible keepsakes after all...

  • The collections' official roadmaps for the new year will follow.

  • $DUST - the utility token of both projects - will be held on both new chains.
