The Machines Arena (TMA) Open Beta launches today on the Epic Games Store and the TMA website, available on PC and Android. It features new content and enhancements!

  • The Machine Arena’s Open Beta allows cross-platform play with synchronized accounts, providing flexibility to gamers.

  • Teamwork is crucial, and players choose from ten characters with distinct powers and class roles, such as tank, support, and assault.

  • Open Beta introduces mechanical companions, called Familiars, that grant players special stat boosts during matches.

  • An airdrop campaign offers rewards based on leaderboard performance and social activities.

  • Special skins earned during previous alphas or betas can now also be minted on Ronin, turning them into NFTs for trading on the Mavis marketplace.

Animoca Brands Backs Square Enix’s NFT Game

Square Enix is teaming up with Animoca Brands to develop and market Symbiogenesis, an outer-worldly NFT game.

  • Symbiogenesis is a PC adventure game in a high-fantasy world where players use Ethereum NFT avatars and interact with other assets on the Polygon network.

  • The game’s storyline intriguingly takes place on a floating continent in a future where Earth is heavily polluted, and humans are battling against a fantastical dragon.

  • Animoca Brands Japan will support the marketing and launch of Symbiogenesis on its NFT launchpad this summer.

Yuga Labs Burned 4,295 HV-MTL NFTs Worth $1M

Yuga Labs burned 4,295 Ethereum-based NFTs from the HV-MTL game, totaling nearly $1 million in value.

  • The NFTs burned represent 14% of the 30,000 HV-MTL NFTs.

  • Faraway prompted the burn after acquiring the IP right of HV-MTL (and Legends of the Mara) to make the assets more scarce and desirable.

  • HV-MTL’s floor price initially dropped 16% after the announcement of Faraway’s acquisition but surged 31% to 0.064 ETH post-burn.

  • Plans are underway to enhance the utility of the remaining NFTs as Faraway prepares to debut a new points system.
