Trump NFTs: The Low-Down

Suppose Trump creating digital collectibles featuring himself in numerous outfits and the team behind Trump's NFTs reserving the rarest ones wasn't entertaining enough... Trump is now being accused of using copyrighted images for his digital collectibles.

Here's what we know:

• Trump recently launched a line of NFTs featuring the "art of his life and career".

• The former US president launched the drop earlier this week.

• Despite being mocked, the first 45,000 digital collectibles put up for sale have sold out, generating ~$4.5M in primary sales

• The collectibles received backlash regarding the team behind the collectibles holding the rarest ones for themselves.

• People in the media then noticed that many designs - including a spacesuit and cowboy getup - were seen on other clothing websites and for stock photos (more on that)

Warner Music Group Gives the Metaverse a Makeover

Thanks to a recent partnership with DressX, Warner Music Group is jazzing up the metaverse by creating fashion pieces with utility.

Here's what we know:

• Warner Music group is partnering with (and investing in) DressX, the most prominent digital fashion platform with more than 3,000 digital items in its library.

• This partnership will see artists under the Warner Music Group release metaverse-ready merchandise and wearables.

• We are excited to see which celebs jump on this opportunity, with artists like Ed Sheeran and Lizzo having the option.

• Additionally, fans can collect and show off the digital attire on the metaverse and via social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

Decentraland Hosts First-Ever Christmas Party

Christmas cheer is just around the corner and 'tis the season to be jolly, after all. Although many will attend cozy parties to indulge in mince pies and Baileys during December, Decentraland will be hosting a state-of-the-art Christmas party. Check it out! 👇

Here's what we know:

• Although Decentraland is no stranger to hosting parties, it will launch its first-ever Christmas event on December 21, 2022, from 12:00 am to 02:00 am (UTC).

• LEDY, in collaboration with Droggo marketplace, is helping organize the event.

• DJ Trax will bring more people in with his musical presence, streamed live on Twitch by Billy Teacoin.

Sorare Scored 585k Members During the World Cup

During the FIFA World Cup 2022, which ended just yesterday, Sorare scored big as a whopping 585k members kick-started using the platform to partake in its World Cup Web3 fantasy sports game.

Here's what we know:

• Around 585k new members joined Sorare during the FIFA World Cup, 2022.

• New members took to the platform to play Sorare's free-to-play World Cup game, which launched on November 10.

• In total, the World Cup game has more than 608k players - the highest statistics for a Web3-bassed sports gaming firm EVER!

• With Lionel Messi helping Argentina take home the trophy, it is no surprise that he is one of the most drafted players.

• Messi is also an ambassador for Sorare. Top lad!
