Assassin's Creed Merges NFTs with 3D-Printed Items

Ubisoft is set to blend the physical and virtual realms with Assassin's Creed Smart Collectibles — a treasure trove of digital tokens and 3D-printed memorabilia that lets fans of the franchise live their 'hidden-blade-wielding' dreams in both worlds.

  • Ubisoft has strengthened its commitment to Web3 and NFTs, focusing on its popular franchise, Assassin’s Creed, for its next venture.

  • In partnership with Reality Labs, Ubisoft plans to release Assassin’s Creed Smart Collectibles — NFT access passes minted on Ethereum's scaling network, Polygon.

  • The NFTs are unique, paired with physical collectibles from the Assassin's Creed series, offering fans a tangible connection to their digital assets.

  • The collectibles come in varying rarity levels, with higher tier levels unlocking more customization options for the physical counterparts, including choice of outfits, weapons, and poses.

  • An embedded NFC chip in the physical collectibles allows owners to interact with their digital version via a companion app, providing additional features and enhancing the overall user experience.

LG Seeks Patent for NFT Trading via TVs

LG Electronics is hustling to secure a patent for a television that does more than binge-watch your favorite shows and trade NFTs instead, hooking watchers directly to the world-famous electronic company's NFT marketplace.

  • LG's proposed TV technology for NFTs will display preview artwork and handle transactions through the user's connected cryptocurrency wallet.

  • This innovative development is an extension of LG's previous work in the NFT space, which began with its Art Lab marketplace launch in September last year, using the Hedera Network, where LG has been a node operator since 2020.

  • The electronic powerhouse's decision to seek patent protection indicates a belief in the sustained consumer interest in NFTs and the potential business benefit of making this technology more accessible.

  • Another electronics heavyweight Samsung also recognized the potential of integrating NFTs with TVs, launching an NFT marketplace on three TV models in January 2022 in partnership with Nifty Gateway.

Moonbirds Makes Noise on Spotify with Exclusive Playlist

Moonbirds and Spotify have struck a chord, allowing collectors to enjoy an exclusive playlist featuring Diplo and Tame Implama (if they are a part of the Android club and in the correct country!).

  • Ethereum's NFT project, Moonbirds, collaborates with Spotify, offering exclusive content to its pixelated owl PFP holders.

  • The exclusive playlist, "Sound of a Digital Renaissance," is curated by Song Birds and Danny Lee, featuring artists like Diplo and Tame Implama.

  • Access to the playlist is geographically restricted to certain countries: the US, the UK, Germany, Azerbaijan, and Australia.

  • The offer is also device-specific, available only to Android users in the mentioned countries.

  • This collaboration is a unique blend of Web2 and Web3, showcasing Moonbirds' ambition to provide innovative experiences to its community and strengthen the NFT project.
