Louis Vuitton Drops ā¬39k Luxury āTreasure Trunkā NFTs
Louis Vuitton (LV) unveils a luxury NFT initiative ā an exclusive NFT campaign featuring its iconic 'Treasure Trunk.'
For ā¬39k, buyers of LV digital assets can unlock a host of luxury benefits, including a limited amount of digital fashion accessories that come with a tangible, made-to-order physical twin of the trunk.
Fans residing in certain regions (USA, UK, Canada, France, Japan, Australia, and Germany) can register their interest. Selected candidates will then be invited to make a purchase, with the NFTs receiving a 'Soul-Bound' status, preventing secondary market transactions.
Holders of these NFTs can purchase keys to unlock additional products in the future. Unlike the initial NFT, these keys and their associated benefits are fully tradable on the secondary market.
This new NFT initiative signifies a novel approach to incorporating blockchain technology in the luxury retail market. The move opens a unique, elite portal to the brand's products and services, possibly setting a new trend in the industry.

Nike's inaugural NFT collection, .SWOOSH, has already successful sold nearly 100k sneaker NFTs, generating over $1m in revenue.
Following this collaboration, these digital assets are set to gain increased utility within the sports gaming franchise, making the collectibles more appealing and valuable to collectors and gamers.
The integration of NFT technology by high-profile companies like Nike and EA Sports underscores the increasing acceptance and application of this innovation in mainstream gaming and sports.
Puma Challenges Nike with Phygital Sneaker Frenzy
Taking strides into the crypto-sneaker game, Puma collaborates with basketball superstar LaMelo Ball and the notorious Gutter Cat Gang, challenging Nike's .SWOOSH platform with fresh phygital sneakers.
Dubbed the 'MB.03 Guttermello' collection, this unique partnership will bring about an array of phygital sneakers that merge the digital and physical realms, featuring standout designs inspired by the Gutter Cat Gang.
Kick-starting June 29, these NFTs will be up for sale on OpenSea for a flat price of $175, with options for payment in either ETH or fiat, allowing owners to unlock a physical version of the sneaker later.
Claiming the physical sneaker is possible for owners during a specified timeframe from July 18 - August 20, an innovative strategy in phygital sports NFTs.
For future ventures, Puma has hinted at additional NFT collaborations later this year, underlining its intent to carve out a significant position in the burgeoning sports NFT marketplace.
