Weekly NFT Sales Volumes Hit Highest Peak Since August

After a period of subdued activity, weekly NFT sales volumes reached their highest point since August, nearly hitting $84.5M between Sept 30 and Oct 6.

• The number of NFT buyers and transactions has spiked impressively. Buyers have increased by 22%, and transactions by 71% since last week.

• Among the top blockchains, Mythos Chain experienced a dramatic rise, jumping to second place with a 6K% increase in sales.

• Polygon also saw a significant 210% boost in weekly volume.

• Though this surge is noteworthy, it still falls short of the peak sales volumes of over $2.2B recorded in late August 2021.

Telegram Unwraps Digital NFT ‘Gifts’ on the TON Blockchain

Telegram has introduced a ‘Gifts’ feature that will enable users to convert limited-edition digital gifts into NFTs on the TON blockchain shortly.

• Users can send animated gifts that can be showcased on profiles or sold for ‘$STARS’ (the app's currency).

• The NFT conversion tool will enable users to turn their limited-edition Gifts into blockchain-verified NFTs by this year’s end.

• The ability to trade and auction them on secondary markets adds a dynamic element to owning digital gifts, potentially increasing their rarity and demand.

Epic’s CEO Visions a Unified Metaverse for Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox

Epic Games' CEO (Tim Sweeney) reportedly envisions an interoperable metaverse for Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox.

• Epic is developing Unreal Engine 6 to enable in-game assets to be used across different games.

• Sweeney suggests that creating a trustworthy, game-agnostic platform will encourage gamers to invest more in digital items (knowing they can use them across various games indefinitely).

• By allowing gamers to use their digital assets across multiple platforms, Epic aims to enhance user engagement and loyalty.

• It will allow players to choose their preferred ecosystem without losing their investments.
