The Chinese government is starting the new year like never before — launching a marketplace for trading digital collectibles. 

Here's what we know: 

• China's government-run digital asset marketplace dubbed "China Digital Asset Trading Platform" launched just yesterday.

• The China Technology Exchange, Art Exhibitions China, and Huban Digital Copyrights Ltd are developing this platform on the China Cultural Security Chain network.

• This marketplace will facilitate trading digital collectibles, copyrights, and intellectual property rights.

• However, users must buy digital goods with the country's local fiat RMB following extreme crypto restrictions.
