Sam Bankman-Fried Returned to the US Yesterday

Seeing as we've come this far keeping you updated with news about SBF, it would be rude not to carry on (even if his name is becoming a little tedious!).

The founder and former CEO of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX signed extradition documents in the Bahamas and flew back to the US yesterday on a federal aircraft.

Here's what we know:

  • After SBF attended a Bahamian court meeting yesterday, he flew to the US on a federal US aircraft.

  • In the US, the FTX founder faces eight federal chargers including securities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.

  • SBF's legal team are in talks about releasing him on a bail deal after extradition.

  • FTX's collapse caused damages worth billions of dollars for investors and users around the globe.

  • Due to the number of people he's pissed off, he may want to get a makeover first (or at least a haircut).
